limited menu slow service
The food was a real letdown. the dinner menu had limited options. prices were high for the quality offered. service was slow. Pudding never arrived one night. my wife's meal was inedible, but no alternative was offered. it was a 'stay and dine' offer, but nearby restaurants would have been preferable.

Excellent City Stay

wide choice excellent location unique experience
I found the staff very helpful. The breakfast provided a wide choice of well-prepared options. The central location allowed easy access to the cathedral and Elm Hill and I enjoyed the complimentary ride in the Bentley it was a unique experience.
I noticed minimal toiletries in the bathroom so the offering felt quite cheap.
Rooms
9/10
The room had coat hooks a chilled water supply and shower instructions which was helpful. I had a double room and found it a good size for a single occupant so it was comfortable. It included places to sit and relax.
Dining
9/10
The restaurant offered a 'Casual' menu with dishes that were well-presented. The food was served hot and tasted delicious I was impressed. Jack in the dining room provided friendly service. He is a credit to this hotel.
Facilities
9/10
Several lounge areas provided spaces to sit and relax. The decoration was tasteful. I found the car park a bonus it was well-located for access and security. The atmospheric bar area was cosy.

a decent stay overall

central location well decorated strong wifi many stairs cold room chaotic restaurant
the hotel is very well located in the city centre. my room was decorated well. i also thought the wifi was strong.
I found lots of up and down stairs since there aren't any lifts. my room was very cold upon arrival. the restaurant seemed pretty chaotic in the evenings. There seemed like too many inexperienced staff.
